'Sick' trailer debuts a pandemic-themed horror film

(Web Desk) - Peacock released a teaser of the upcoming film Sick on Friday.

Sick takes place in April 2020, at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. Parker and Miri, two best friends quarantined at a remote lake house, are the focus of the film.

“As the pandemic grinds to a halt, Parker and her best friend Miri decide to quarantine at the family lake house alone — or so they think,” according to the official description.

The cast includes Gideon Adlon, Bethlehem Million, Marc Menchaca, and Jane Adams.

Blumhouse and Miramax produced Sick. Kevin Williamson, the writer of Scream, co-wrote the script with Katelyn Crabb and produced it with Bill Block and Ben Fast. John Hyams directed the film.

Sick premieres on Peacock on January 13th.
